    Emirate Airlines has said that work on modifications to its fleet of 32 Airbus A380s is two months behind schedule due to a delay in the delivery of new replacement aircraft. "The modifications were due to begin in mid-March, but the first aircraft only went into modification in early May," the carrier's president, Tim Clark, told the Flight International magazine.   • Expansion of Sohar Port container terminal launched
    Oman International Container Terminal (OICT) has launched construction work on its modern terminal at the Port of Sohar, Oman Daily Observer has reported. The project, estimated to cost around OR50m, will boost the capacity of the terminal from the current 800,000 TEU to 1.5 million TEU. A further expansion is envisaged in Phase II of the terminal's development centring on Terminal D, targeted for completion by 2018, which will open up an additional capacity of 2.5 million TEU.
