Description & Location
This site is located near Abu Ramada, on the southeast side. It has a wide sand covered shelf that extends eastward with an average depth of 18 meters ending with a drop off. Near the drop off lies 3 large ergs that nearly reach the surface down to the seabed at 18 meters. Situated in a near straight row, the smallest erg is closest to the north at 13 meters. Next to it is the middle-sized erg at 11 meters, with the largest erg on the opposite side, furthest south at 5 meters.

About the Dive
Being very exposed, this site is not dived often because of rough conditions present most of the time. The currents here usually very strong making this dive for experienced divers only, however on calm days this site is a great place to enjoy the beauty of undamaged corals. This site is a must for photographers but stay near the ergs rather than the drop off area. Because of prevailing current, the north sides are very healthy supporting a healthy growth of soft colorful corals. Start in a circular pattern and move around all three ergs. Look for small caves on the east side of the largest erg and the north side of the middle erg. The shallower areas tend to also be very prolific making this site a must see when weather cooperates.

Reef Life & Special Interests
This area supports such a wide variety of marine life, you feel like you are in an aquarium when diving this site. Some of the more common species include groupers, napoleons, moray eels, tuna, unicorn schools and barracuda. A special interest about this site is the millions of tiny anthias.
